Aeolus opens new factory in China and launches new website in Europe
The market for earthmover tyres is very critical of new products. During Reifen 2008, Aeolus - the market leader in China with a 45% share in OEM - introduced the first series of radial earthmover tyres in Europe. In the meantime, the range of supply has been expanded and there is talk of rising sales. This is one of the reasons why Aeolus has opened a new factory in China dedicated specifically to these earthmover tyres.
Market leader
For many years already, Aeolus has occupied a leading position in the field of earthmover tyres. In this area, the brand holds a 45% market share in OEM, first assembly. Partly in response to growing exports, Aeolus opened a new factory in Henan last year, which is specifically dedicated to radial earthmover tyres.
The key terms of quality, durability, safety and competitive price/quality ratio are very important at Aeolus. The range of all Aeolus products is kept as broad as possible. The factory produces around three million truck and trailer and earthmover tyres each year. In terms of all product groups, Aeolus produces around nine million tyres per year. Research and development, into innovative tyres that meet the needs of the market, occupies a central and permanent position within the company.
In Europe, Aeolus team Europe is responsible for exclusive import and distribution for Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Hungary and Romania.
New website
Aeolus has chosen Reifen 2010 to launch its new European website. The site has a new modern lay-out, with updated background information and a complete overview of the range of products. A modern webshop has also been linked to the transparent and user-friendly website. Customers can use this medium to place orders when it is convenient for them, and to check whether requested products are in stock. Orders will then be supplied directly from the large 24,000 m2 central distribution centre in Hardenberg (Netherlands). The website is a way for Aeolus to re-emphasise its ambitions and to clearly state that Aeolus is ‘The Alternative’.
