Tyres for bulldozers
In some situations, bulldozers featuring tyres are used instead of bulldozers equipped with tracks. These machines are normally deployed to move materials (often soil) by pushing them. Bulldozers are also used to flatten the bottom layer of sub-surfaces.
These working conditions mean tyres are generally exposed to constant pressure. Only speeds up to circa 10 km/h are encountered. Due to the specific activities, it is important for tyre profiles to offer a lot of traction; more than normally needed for loaders.
