Tyres for straddle carriers

Straddle carriers are machines you will definitely not see on a public highway. They are - primarily - confined to container transshipment companies in ports or distribution/storage areas. In many cases, these carriers operate automatically, although versions operated by on-board drivers or remote control are also encountered.
Tyres for straddle carriers

Straddle carriers use a ‘pick and carry’ approach to transport and stack standard (ISO) sea containers in terminals or load them on to trucks. Some carriers are able to stack 4 containers simultaneously. 

These carriers require tyres that comply with extra heavy duty requirements. This includes extra resistance against wear and tear and heat development, because straddle carriers are continuously operational and regularly need to twist and turn. But stability when going around corners is also very important. Speeds are not very high; around maximum 30 km/h.
